Trigger Group Grip Descriptions

Driven Arms VCG

The Vertical Crossover Grip (VCG) , developed in conjunction with Driven Arms Co, provides users an ideal ergonomic feature set for a variety of applications.

The RECCE Vertical Crossover Grip feature a near vertical, 5 degree front strap with tapered lower ledge, as well as an optimized rear profile, providing maximum wrist comfort and leverage in a variety of shooting positions. Proprietary anti-slip textures help to further lock your hand in place while also providing channels for sweat and debris to vent or escape. Overall width is also increased from standard AR compatible offerings via palm swell sections, contributing more surface area for improved purchase and general comfort. For comparison, the width of the VCG sits at ~1.45” whereas the popular Magpul K2+ is 1.2”

MKM ULGC

The Ultralight Compact Grip (ULCG), designed in conjunction with Driven Arms Co, provides users an ergonomic and “low-drag” profile at a vastly lower weight than comparable products. Weighing just over *30 grams sans hardware, the ULCG features a shallow grip angle of 10.4° for greater comfort and control, particularly with shorter rifle & pistol setups. This is especially useful for those utilizing a compact “CQB” style stance. Greater comfort and control leads to improved accuracy.

Unique internal geometry brings surprising strength and rigidity to the ULCG with a minimal amount of material usage. Grips feel surprisingly stiff at this weight and do not flex when squeezed.

Driven Arms ULGC Gen 2Apex

The Utility Compact Grip Gen 2 Apex features the low drag, compact profile maintains the same width, front-strap + back-strap geometry, and forward anti slip ledge of the original ULCG, but now features increased surface area and an optimized contact patch for the lower rear of your palm, increasing leverage and improving long term operating comfort.

The geometry change on the bottom also allowed for a fresh take on the integrated storage system. The included floorplate is now far easier to utilize, especially with gloves, all without sacrificing any security.

The final external optimizations come by way of the two texture options, originally designed for the Shadow Crossover Grip:

  • Apex texture – minimally abrasive, Apex was designed for those who like hockey tape wraps or similarly smooth but still tactile finishes
  • Atom (dot) texture – more bite, more traction, perfect for gloved hands or more demanding conditions (humidity, sweat, mud, etc.)

Internal improvements include an updated mounting interface for broader platform compatibility and reinforced walls to increase rigidity and durability through impact, with consideration of the new profile and accompanying likely impact points.

Driven Arms SCG Atom

The SCG (Shadow Crossover Grip) Atom takes what we’ve learned from years of user feedback and adapts the ergonomics package of the CZ Adapter with palm swells into a single piece polymer design. The contouring and profile of the SCG can be seen as an answer to the many requests for a ULCG+ or VCG-M, but as the testing has shown, it truly is a completely different feeling altogether, one which time is showing to be love inducing. Some highlights of the SCG include:

  • Low weight – ~2.3 oz with hardware
  • 16 degree grip angle for balanced ergonomics, leverage during manipulations, and long term operating comfort
  • ~1.445 inch maximum width with a tapered profile and flared lower ledge for improved hand placement, support, leverage, and control in all positions (final dimensions to be announced after production model is finalized)
  • Two texture variations for varying applications
  • Apex texture – minimally abrasive, Apex was designed for those who like hockey tape wraps or similarly smooth but still tactile finishes
  • Atom (dot) texture – more bite, more traction, perfect for gloved hands or more demanding conditions (humidity, sweat, mud, etc.)

Magpul MOE-K

Designed as a drop-in upgrade for the standard AR15/M4 pistol grip, the MOE-K Grip provides an extremely low profile and compact design with a steeper grip angle compared to more traditional styles. The more vertical grip angle is optimized for use on PDW (Personal Defense Weapon) configurations and improves comfort and control on short LOP rifles that bring the primary hand in closer to the shooter's body. The thin profile and lack of backstrap 'beavertail' also makes it an excellent choice for shooters who prefer a smaller grip circumference.
